Hi again - haven't been on the forum for ages, but I went and did it this week, after thinking about it for years - came into a house and run, put it up on Monday night, picked up the girls on Tuesday night - and have been enjoying watching them ever since. Three Crested Cream Legbars, or custard creams as we like to call them. 15 weeks old and very, very sweet. Settling in nicely.

Oh we must have a pic of your Custard Creams! Have they got individual names (Vanilla or anything like that?)Whoever plants a garden believes in the future.

Fab!
Someone else with Legbars...now we can compare nuttiness notes!
My Hattie is completely potty, but oh so sweet! Despite trashing my peas & beans, she is my favourite......but don't tell my other girls!

Thanks for all the replies!
They do have names - Barbara, Edith and Nancy, but we tend to refer to them as the Custard Creams, or the Biscuit Sisters - sounds like the latter will be apt if they are a nutty breed! I know Nancy because she has a bigger hairdo, but have a bit more difficulty with Barbara and Edith.
I took a picture when I first got them and they are looking all shy - must take some more now that they are more relaxed.
Yes, hen-watching is very addictive! Spent hours this weekend watching them. When they snooze it's so funny - they nod off and then open their eyes suddenly pretending they weren't asleep at all. We have a guy at work does that during meetings.Attached Files
