Has anyone visited The Devonshire Traditional Breed Centre?

I've been eggstra nice to OH today so he's taking me visiting tomorrow. Just wondering how I can get two cat carriers into the boot of the car without him noticing?

I have taken a fancy to Salmon Faverolles and Blue Orpingtons....but I also fancy the Silver Grey Dorkings....

Yes I went last summer. Its quite interesting. The hens were looking very bald and red as it was the end of breeding season but should be better this time of year.

Have fun, and brace yourself for the price of the Orpingtons. Buff Orps last year in Norfolk were fetching £50 each for POL pullets!

Any other visiting suggestions for Somerset/Devon/Wiltshire areas?

I've found a Farm that sounds great, but it's not a day out so OH might wonder why I want to go there. It looks really good and the prices of 18wk+ chooks are very good. Speckledys and Blue Belles look gorgeous.
