Sorry,I did try to get several pics of all the chicks, but none of them fancied standing still for long enough!
Anyway,I managed to get a few of the Buff Orpingtons & wondered if anyone fancied having a stab at which is boy & which is girl...even though the pics aren't great.
Since they were just a few days old there's been a significant difference in their feather development, leading us to believe that one is a boy & one a girl...won't say which we think.
We'd love to think they were both girls as they are so friendly & just adorable little bundles of fluff...and actually their behaviour leads us to believe they could both be girls.....since introducing a few of the home hatched chicks,Pip the once timid bantam has turned into an obvious little boy always wanting a fight and although the BO's tend to be his prey neither of them ever fight back.
As for their combs,at seven and a half weeks, neither of them have any significant comb development at all.
I'd heard they were tricky to sex and it's proving to be the case with ours!
