necessity is the mother of all invention maureen!

depending on the type of needle you have (dont ask me - its not a blokey thing) you may need to turn both needles at the same time to ensure a good turn. Also, practice on some dud eggs incase they fall while setting up the spacing otherwise you will be furious if you crack a good 'un. On the bottom of the incubator puts some shavings to cuchio a fall if it does happen, but dropping from half inch should harm them too much but there is always a risk.

When its time to stop turning, just take out the needles and lay the eggs on the incubator floor as per normal.

I'd definitely suggest putting them straight in rather than leaving them, even if technically you are supposed to be able to. My mouse finger slipped when looking at e-bay earlier this year, and as there were still two and a half days left I thought someone would out bid me, but no. I did manage to persuade someone to attempt to hatch them for me, but by that time I'd had them for several days and all of them failed. Of course it might be that they simply weren't fertile, or that in incy was faulty, but I'd still always use them as fresh as possible in future.
Into each life some rain must fall........but this is getting ridiculous.
