Hi and welcome Buffs. Mine love chard too (mind you so do I!) I think it's their favourite green veg.

Chooks love greens and the advantage of Chard is that it grows through the winter (or at least part of the winter). I've just sown some Kale especially for the chooks this winter - we can't stand the stuff - and they'll have the tops off the Brussels sprouts too if I can keep the pigeons off
Into each life some rain must fall........but this is getting ridiculous.

is there anything that isnt suitable for the chickens....

I know that potato tops are poisonous, but I thought rhubarb wasnt good either - but I read somewhere that this is a natural wormer???

Chickens like beetroot too (it's related to chard/leafbeet) ... gave my neighbour a shock though, seeing his hens' feathers covered in red stuff !

I'll second that! We also have a perennial sow-thistle in the garden as a persistent weed. They love the leaves of this, which grow back very quickly.
