    I agree, I think i would have given up without all the recent support (because i was frightened i was doing things wrong-not through lack of interest) and it does help to know it's not just you. I'm sending you lots of sympathy !

    Can i please ask what a lash is?

      I'm guessing a runny poo? If so we've had lots of it, but to be fair that's come from the healthy ones as well so fingers crossed it's nothing to worry about. I never thought I'd be glad of a cooling down, wet summer, but I don't think they could have coped with too much more of that heat

        A "lash" is the rubbery thing the girls sometimes lay/pass which I believe is part of the oviduct which is shed. I know it can happen with no apparent ill effect but with some of mine it does seem to be the start of the slippery slope. However I'm sure they have done loads before I actually notice them so it might just be my paranoia kicking in at the moment!
