I now have 23 'Laydees;' 8 brown ex-batts, 7 white ex-free rangers, 2 Copper Marans, 2 Cuckoo Marans, 2 very similar to the Copper Marans and 2 cream speckly feathery-footed large fluffy things!
I was offered 4 more this week too - I am TRYING to resist ...
ps Your Tigerella Tomatoes are YUMMY - many thanks RT!

Someone's getting broody over here too. Erm..... that would be me
Now we're down to three, we've got room for another two, and it would make sense to introduce them in the summer whilst we can spend some time with them. Got to be ex-batts, though, anyone know of a rescue happening soonish?

I believe Hen rehomers are doing one on 22nd August. May be too late now but maybe worth an email?
BHWT Coventry has one on 30th August, but I think they had one last weekend too. It might be worthwhile giving Ian and Mollie a ring to see if they've got an "left overs" (that's if Coventry is get-at-able for you)

no problem
Never test the depth of the water with both feet
The only reason people get lost in thought is because it's unfamiliar territory....
Always remember you're unique, just like everyone else.
Yep Ian and Mollie are definitely there, I've met them - twice

I'm resisting at the moment, due to the hassle factor! If the owner mentions it again, I'll probably cave in, but it means I have to find the time to clean out my original (small) coop and sort out adequate fencing to quarantine them as they have 'lodgers' Their feet are very swollen and their leg scales are sticking out horizontally, and whenever I see them they are always pecking at their skin/feathers like they have parasites or some sort.
I know, I know, they need rescuing, so I probably will if it is mentioned again
