Vaccination

Ello All

Wondering if anyone can answer my vaccination question. Where and how do you get hold of vaccinations? I did a forum search thinking that it might have been ask before but I can only find threads discussing the pros/cons of vaccination etr.

I realise they only come in sizes suitable for large numbers of chickens but I am totally in the dark about how to get hold of any, suggestions anyone?

does it involve getting them to prescribe it so I can give it? We I thought it might be like that but we asked one and they know nothing?

I believe in the UK that only a vet can prescribe and administer drugs/vaccines to pets/animals.

your right about prescription only medicines, which vaccines might be, but their are no rules on who and administer just as their are non for humans.

Yep - a vet has to prescribe them but you can give it - if your vet agrees

Most domestic vets do not have a clue - you need to find a livestock vets - we had the same with the local vet in the town - he had no idea what I wanted when I asked for anti-biotics for one of the chooks - ended up going all teh way to my usual vets
