    Brilliant

That's an eggcellent idea. Fabulous recycling.

No perches though, that I can see.

Jules - thats exactly what Mike said - but I really like the nest box idea!

Bumble - I know I actually got our pax wardrobes for £1 each cos they were damaged, we choose carefully and now the junks in them you can't see the damage. Actually its one of the 1st places I go in ikea the bargain corner - well after the coffee shop and the kids loo stop!! And if your ikea is like ours they have a draw full of screws and fixings that are free to help yourself from - haven't brought screws nails etc for ages!!!

Beat me to it - yes I too couldn't see perches - in the blurb it mentioned chicken "beds" - presumably those little white trays. Are they supposed to double up as nestboxes too???? Otherwise a nice design.

I loved the nestboxes...they are just so anti-mite with their smooth sides and round corners.

I was quite proud of our disposable (and compostable) nestboxes from Aldi until I saw those.

Now I'm really annoyed with myself!...whilst searching for rabbit hutches,I thought why not broaden my horizons & see if there were any cheap wardrobes/sideboards I could convert. There was only a bunkbed...I half considered it,then decided it wouldn't work...just how wrong was I???
So wish we were nearer an Ikea...although because of how cheap it is I'd probably spend a fortune on tat I don't need!

It was the nestboxes that caught my eye too Only this afternoon when I was moving some old washing-up bowls in the garden, I was thinking that they'd make a reasonable nestbox too! Think I'll be saving them for recycling in a different way
My girls found their way into my heart and now they nest there

Maybe we will all start looking at freecycle items with a different slant!

I've got some old rectangular w/up bowls.....wonder if they'll fit in the nestbox area? Will get DD to try them for size later on.

                    Aunty Mo does it again!

i use covered cat litter trays as nest boxes, they are easy to keep clean, no hidey holes for mite and my girls seem to like them

two sheds - heath robinson - i'm sure that is not the case just full of character - rather like mikes woodworking efforts - but they work so thats that!

See all these ideas are coming out now - cat litter trays brilliant!
