Aren't they gorgeous - they look like whopping sugared almonds! Our chickies just lay brown - like no. 2.

              They look great Jules!

My ambition is to have a selection of colours. I have the normal brown and the white now and was looking at the cream legbar (blue) eggs with admiration at a show recently.

So all I need now is a couple of cream legbar and a couple of marans!

                Dave,

The Wheaten Marans, Buff Sussex, Cream Legbar and Partridge Wyandotte are all 29 weeks now. The Legbar produced the first egg at about 25/26 weeks, and they've all joined the club within the past few weeks. The Scots Dumpy is about 26 weeks and she was the second to lay within days of Hattie Cream-Legbar starting the egg rolling.

My Marsh Daisy is only about 24 weeks, so she hasn't started yet. The breeder said she was about 17 weeks when we got her but I'm pretty sure this wasn't the case and he may have got his clutches mixed up. Her egg should be creamy white which will add to the mix!
