Robert and Linda from Free at Last are organising an ex-batt rescue on 12th September in the Milton Keynes area. The date's provisional at the moment, but it's likely to be around then.
If anyone is thinking of adopting some ex-batts, please phone Linda on 07900 234007, preferably after 6pm, so that she can give you more details. I wouldn't normally publish her phone number, but as it's on her own website, I'm assuming it's okay!
We got our three new girls from them a couple of weeks ago and they're amazing, so if they come from the same farm (which it sounds as if they will) then I can't rave about them enough. They're amazingly tame, goodness knows why after what they've been through, but they just seem to love people - one of them literally jumps on my lap if I sit down in the run. They've been laying in the nest boxes from day 1 and put themselves to bed from the second night onwards.
If anyone does end up adopting some because of this thread then please let me know, it would be a really good feeling to be indirectly responsible for a few more girls finding their freedom.
