Always close and if possible lock your door so no nasties can get in!!!

one question: do you close the door between the run and the roost area at night or should this only be closed on winters nights?

Blinking flip, Jim, you don't muck about, do you? If it were me and OH we wouldn't just still be at the reading a book about it stage, we'd still be at the 'which books do we need?' discussion stage. It took us a month just to decide what colour to paint our chicken house.

I'd agree about the pop-hole, always, always lock it. Also the nest-box if your coop has an external one as Mo had a fox get in through hers.

Also, Gold laced Wyandottes are top of my wish list, so I'm jealous now.
