Sorry, Lynda I just don't have a spare house for them to live in at the moment, otherwise I'd be delighted.
For anyone considering it; We have 2 cockerels which were raised by Lynda last winter. They are friendly, tame (will take treats gently from a 3 year old) and are extremely healthy. Lynda is a brilliant chick mum and anyone taking chicks from her will, I'm sure, be as delighted with them as we have been.....although she ''forgot'' to mention that Coco is a Copper Marans crossed with an ostrich. He is HUGE.
Into each life some rain must fall........but this is getting ridiculous.

How soon is "soon as possible" in terms of getting rid of them?

I would have loved to take them but since I am collecting 3 or 4 from Freecycle tomorrow and then rescuing six ex-free range on Saturday I think I would be asking for objections from Madmax.

Lynda, am in Manchester end of this month(week of the 28th) if you don't come right, but the missus won't let me raise the boys for meat though... PM me if you still need help with the girls. All depends how quick you need to shift them and if someone else cannot help you

I'm just too far away - sorry! I'm in Peterborough this weekend if that helps?

Could take hens but not the boys - suburban back garden and a fussy neighbour!

Let us know how you get on.

You've only recently finished building the hen house.........
The weeks and the years are fine. It's the days I can't cope with!

I'd love to take in a chick - specially if she's a meaty bird and a good layer.

Can 8 week olds go outside? I could probably take some - boys at that - as long as they can be outside in an ark and run....
