URGENT .... chicks need new homes

ok i have 10 8 week old chicks ... light sussex x rhode island reds and their variables .... i think about half are cocks, was raising them for meat but circumstances are currently dictating otherwise

need them gone as soon as possible please if anyone can take them, they are good meat birds, and should be ready to eat in about 8 weeks ... and the girls should be good layers

Sorry, Lynda I just don't have a spare house for them to live in at the moment, otherwise I'd be delighted.
For anyone considering it; We have 2 cockerels which were raised by Lynda last winter. They are friendly, tame (will take treats gently from a 3 year old) and are extremely healthy. Lynda is a brilliant chick mum and anyone taking chicks from her will, I'm sure, be as delighted with them as we have been.....although she ''forgot'' to mention that Coco is a Copper Marans crossed with an ostrich. He is HUGE.

I would have loved to take them but since I am collecting 3 or 4 from Freecycle tomorrow and then rescuing six ex-free range on Saturday I think I would be asking for objections from Madmax.

linda i cant take the boys but would be happy to take the girls if they are definately girls, if sndager can take the boys (read on other post) we could maybe arrange something re collecting from you and meeting him somewhere (OH is from Teeside so we could sort something out maybe??)

Lynda, am in Manchester end of this month(week of the 28th) if you don't come right, but the missus won't let me raise the boys for meat though... PM me if you still need help with the girls. All depends how quick you need to shift them and if someone else cannot help you

Can 8 week olds go outside? I could probably take some - boys at that - as long as they can be outside in an ark and run....
