Yes, we got our Rhodies and Gold-Tops at 8 weeks and their care is exactly the same as those bought point of lay, except they need growers' pellets instead of layers. If I know Lynda though they'll have had a very mixed diet and will probably eat anything. By the time the weather turns very cold they'll be more than capable of coping with it, can certainly go outside now and both Rhodies and Sussex are very hardy anyway. Go on, OWG, you know you want to!
Into each life some rain must fall........but this is getting ridiculous.

right just so you know basically i decided to take on far too much more than my brain and body is able to cope with so basically they need to go, been trying to convince myself i can do everything ... and its time to admit i cant ...... they are fine outside and have been for about 3 weeks now ... they eat anything, though as they were all for meat, aren't very tame as i didn't want to get attached .... 2 of the boys are a bit pecky if you corner them and they arent into cuddles or anything but as they are only 8 weeks should be fine given time if you want to keep the girls ..theres not an immediate gotta get rid of them today thing, just as soon as is practical ... will send memos, thanks guys xxx

Only just got to read your thread lynda. As you may have read, Im just about to take delivery of my first house, and would be more than happy to take a couple of girls from you (living in a small estate, they would have to be girls). It would be fantastic to have my first brids from someone else on the Vine, and I know you are highly regarded in relation to your birds. Hope you get this message sooner rather than later.
Please PM me if you can.
                    Thanks
