  • I'd like to meet some Chooks please!

Before I embark on keeping chickens I think it'd be a good idea to meet up with some. I've seen the ones in the supermarket but I know real ones tend to cluck & have more feathers!

So I was wondering if there's anyone on here that lives near me (within 20 or so miles) that would be willing to let me meet their chooks & give me some advice?

I live in Scunthorpe, Nth Lincolnshire.

    Regards

I think that is a very good idea! I was terrified of all birds til I got my chooks (they still make me jump if they flap at me lol)
I am a bit too far away though, let's hope someone is nearer

Can you get easily to Outgate Poultry - near Crowle. They have a website and the chap there is very happy to show you his chooks, no obligation. He'll talk about them for hours too. His stock are all in brilliant condition. We've been very happy with ours.
