your chicken is not well, she really needs to be seen by a professional. Chickens usually do not sit puffed up unless they are ailing. Like Richmond said if she was coming into lay she would be actively seeking food. she may be ill or being bullied but either way she is not well.

without further symptoms i would not like to stab at what is wrong with her, but she should be treated by a vet.

When was she last wormed and treated for parasites such as lice and mite?

Have just given her some fresh water and she had some.I have never wormed her.

Have just been watching tikka and she looked like she was gagging.like she had something stuck.

couple of possiblilities - has she got a full crop (lump on her right hand side chest) she may have an impacted crop

Other likelyhood is gapeworm - needs worming immediatley

She has a slight lump on the right hand side of her chest.Not as big as the other chicken though.

I would suggest worming her as a matter of course just to rule it out and to set it straight in your mind that she is up to date on worming.

Just thought I would let you all know Tikka is all better now she got up yesterday a changed chicken.I have no idea why it was as if someone had flicked a switch and she was turned on again.One of my kids said maybe she was constipated!

Did you worm her? If you did, it may be that they've gone now and that's why she's so much better. Really glad to hear she's well again now

Really glad to hear shes better, it is best to wor her anyways if you didn;t just so you knw when it was done and then you can keep on top of it
