AAAWW!!!Well done RT!!!Thet are little beauties!!!
Will be here first thing in the morning to see if there's more.
A tip I learnt a little late was to give them finely chopped dandelion leaves from very early on...prevents sticky bum!

              Congrats!xxx

obviously black rock and amber link chicks are yellow!!! (well thats my suggestion as you have yellow chicks)

No need to be careful what you wish for mo - keep em comin I lurve chickies

sticky bum - its basically a build up of poo around the bum but it sticks to them cos they are fluffy - its like the old saying sticks lik **** to a blanket!!

You caught me just before an early night!
Sometimes a chick can get a bit of a sticky bum...unless cleaned can cause a nasty blockage!
Do a daiy check and if any of them seem to have dried up poop around their bums,it will need cleaning,...warm water & cotton wool worked for us,although don't tug at the dried bit...could cause more damage.Ease it away gently.!
But then if you introduce a little choipped greens from day one,you hoprfully won't face the problem!

It was honestly an almost daily chore with the first hatch, but this time they've had their small ration of greens & no problem!
the fates lead him who will;him who won't they drag.

Er - I've never had to clean a chick's bum .............. have I just been lucky all this time, or is there another factor involved?

                          thanks to both of you.

what does a prolapse look like (intestine) on a wee one? if you look closely at the pic with the 2chicks, the 1 on the right has a funny bit attached to it...
