For the last week I've gone to let the geese out (they live in the barn at the mo) in the morning and in the nestbox in the corner there has been a lovely little bantie egg.
Trouble is there are no banties in there!
Anyway I went down earlier today and as looked over the door Twinkle, my Mrs banty Orp, took off from the nest like a rocket and flew back over the roof truss leaving one rather warm egg.
I'm well chuffed. Shes the first out of my youngsters to lay, although one of the black rock banties is laying too. Not intending to try hatching any of these though as theyre more likely to be maran x if i did
