HELP! Chicken making choking noises..

One of my originals is roaming round the garden making choking noises..

Its like its got something stuck in its throat, tried catching it to feel neck but so far no luck..

Also silent cheepin, doing the actions but no noises>>

Still feeding though which baffles me??

Help... panic setting in..

How old is the chook?
Just a thought- it sounds like one of my young cockerels trying to crow

If it's still eating- surely it can't be too stressed?....I'd be worried too though....hope it's all sorted very quickly x

Think you need to catch her and have a good look Smoggy. It's a bit difficult to suggest anything without more info.
How long has she been doing it? Has she had access to long grass/tough leaves - is her crop full/hard/hot/empty. Is she yawning? Have they been wormed recently? Is she well in herself or hunched up, tail down?

Did catch her and held her upside down whilst rubbing gullet... nothing there??

She appears to have cleared it herself, and is back to normal thank god...

You can relax when the kids have gone to bed but when the chooks go to bed it's time to worry about marauding foxes and rats
