  • Naming the Chooks...

As you all know I am as of today up to 11 chooks..

And thanks to all of you for your help, otherwise im sure i'd of given up by now..

But as of yet they have no names, so heres what i've come up with...

My other big love is Middlesbrough football club which has eleven players - you guessed where im going yet...

1st pic (west sussex) is the midfield - short and quick..
So we have Johno, Arca, Digard and Gazza (O'niel)

The warrens in the 2nd pic are the defense - Coyney, Wheats, Poggy and Maca...

And the mainline forwards (Marans) Ally, Leroy and for old times sake "Juninho"

Sad I know, but at least I can identify them by name now rather than breed..

My missus thinks im sadder than ever now.. lol

    How did you choose yours?

The chatty bosslady is (Moaning) Myrtle.
The pushy no. 2 is (Come into the garden) Maud.
Trailing behind in 3rd place is shy, won't say boo to a goose Madge (the silent old bird on Barry Humphreys shows).

And mine are named after Terry Pratchett characters because that way I'm never going to run out of slightly mad names. But OH called 2 gold ones Autumn and Audrey because they are gold and their names begin Au. This should tell you 2 things; 1) Chemists are boring and; 2) He's never going to be allowed to name any ever again.
Into each life some rain must fall........but this is getting ridiculous.

Hmm Chicken Blackie doesn't sound at all appetising.

Did someone forget to turn off the gas under the saucepan?

My first named Battie was Rosie, (as it rhymes with nosey - obvious, really). Ginger and Ruby (colour) were next to be named, followed by Scruffy and Flossie (due to lack of feathers). Then there's Snowy (mainly white), Penny (her crop dangles like a pendulum when she runs), Cocky (struts about like a Fella), Chappie (looks like she's wearing chaps on her legs) Chatterbox (never stops prattling on about everything/nothing) The Fluff Sisters are both really thick-feathered puff-ball types that look like they have big furry slippers on!

There are some still without names though
