  • Ooooppss...naughty boy!

Hmm...well may last batch of babbies are 18 weeks tomorrow- and the guys- esp one of them are MUCH more advanced than the last batch.
We culled them at 20 and 22 weeks if I recall.
This lot look like it's going to be earlier- Bitbot ( hmm..yup) has just been 'rubbing bottoms' with his Auntie

You gonna incubate some of Auntie's eggs then? Or stick them under a broody?

              Wot she said!!!

I was kind of hoping to get some babies from one of our Legbar boys before the day of reckonning, but as it would mean incubating & having the aroma of chook poop in the living room for a considerable amount of wintry weeks, think we may pass!

Lol, chook poop is kind of pungent before it dries hard isn't it?

Although Boo & Roo are now spending the majority of their time outside, night times they're back in the living room!...Wow what a scent to be greeted with each morning!Although I sadly remember actually kind of missing it when the last lot finally moved to the lottie!
Can't imagine how bad it would get in the winter though, when it's too cold for them to go out & the central heating ensures the fine aroma is wafted throughout the home.....Christmas hatching?me?....absolutely,probably not!!!!
