Yong cockerels in my opinion tail on the one is looking very boyish - combs and wattles are still small so would suggest they are not that old.

Sussex are good eaters if you want to go that way or you could approach the auction officials if they were clearly labelled as girls not that I hold much hope for you but as its been less than a week they may - but auctions are usually on a buyer beware policy!
