the new girls (holly & Ivy) born on Christmas Eve! are starting to settle in, still a bit nervous when in the coop but chilled, when out in the garden.

The wellsummer hen is the problem, nasty streak sometimes

        thanks

they're a great looking bunch. To break the streak try picking her up for a couple of minutes every time she gets a bit much. Worked for me especially around treat time when she could see all the others getting their's and she's being held!

They're gorgeous Jim,particularly your Lemon Sable.

Do the 'old' girls have names too?

Thanks for the link to Hennie4Pennies btw

You're ok lettuce, my Wellies are as soft as anything Mind you, they're ones I've raised from eggs so I'm the only human they've really had any contact with
My girls found their way into my heart and now they nest there

Out of 4 Wellies hatched, the only girl is the easiest to handle. The boys have very long legs and boy can they run! Doesn't help that their mummy told them I was the big bad wolf.
                      Lovely hens Jim.
