  • I seem to have bought another coop...

Well, there it was on my watch list. That's called research right?

Next thing I know, I've bid and confirmed. It wasn't a really serious mustavit sort of bid. I left 4 clear seconds for a determined sniper to outbid me.

*Sigh* I suppose I'll have to fill it up with chooks now I've won it

Strange isn't it? A little one seems to have appeared in my back garden along with a pile of wood, nails, paint and Onduline! Guess I'll have to look out those plans and charge up the electric drill!

Whoot! that gives me time to collect the coop, disinfect it, re-assemble it, perhaps get a hard roof on it and then...Sablepoots, dribble

Are Thornes another breeder that you recommend Jim? Don't worry about answering that, I've just seen their website. I thing I've found a lovely new playground

Hi! yes Thornes are breeders of lovely chooks that are very much in demand. Very good specialists with very healthy chooks. They are very helpful with the advice as well. Bit of a drive from you though, Eco-chic but probably worth it. I don't think they they operate a waiting list system but that may have changed. But you need some nice hennies to put in that coop that's appeared, don't you?

Lol Lettuce. They certainly have a lovely website and with all the chooks they list it's going to be hard going to decide what, apart from a Sablepoot and a Silkie, to choose. I don't think they'll be too far, about an hour to 90 minutes I imagine. I think I might try to attend one of Frank's Talks too.

your correct, you cant reserve, first come first serve, they have days when the breeds are ready for sale which is next Sunday.

the gates open at 9.30, but the shop opens at 10.00 am, suggest you get up early and give church a miss!

Lovely place and very healthy stock, I'm banned from their until the spring, if you go you will surly come back with some chooks
