    Babies have arrived!(friesian, buff orpington, 2 light sussex, exchequer leghorn and our own homebred light sussex black rock cross.

                  Heres billy no mates! He/she has joined up with R2D2 to be partners in crime!
                  Lets jump on the others heads yeah!! when he/she sees you he gets dead excited and jumps up and down on the spot!

                        Beautiful! I'm so jealous of you lot and your chicks. Having just persuaded Audrey that now is not a good time to be broody my hopes of chicks this side of Christmas have gone. Note how sensible I've been! But with no incubator and the chickens being on the allotment it would have been unkind to allow her to hatch this late in the year......I'm still extremely jealous though.
                        Oh, and I agree, Billie No Mates is beautiful. Could you keep posting the photos as they grow, Petal? I'd love to see how she turns out.
                        Into each life some rain must fall........but this is getting ridiculous.
