    found this egg yesterday under the perches!! dont know which of my ladies laid it though, should i be worried???? next to a normal egg for size comparisson

    That looks about the same size as the odd one that Marigold laid a while back....thread"Worrying egg".
    Have you cracked yours open?Marigold's was particularly strange inside.

      I think it's known as a "wind egg". Nothing to worry about unless it happens frequently

        I had one like that- just a one off- I blew it cos it looked so sweet - and it had a yolk and everything as usual!!..I wish I'd weighed it first though

          We had a massive double yolker and a titchy one like that (white, no yolk inside - a real wind egg) on the same day! Neither fitted very well into a standar egg cup.

                  We had one off the silkies, there's no yolk and the white was thicker than usual. it looked like a little malteser.
