Old shed

Hi there. There is an old 7x5' shed at the bottom of the garden which I'm thinking of turning into a coop. It's pretty dilapidated and will need a few cladding panels replacing at the bottom but it's structually sound . The thing is we think it has a corrugated asbestos roof which has one or two holes in it (no more than an inch wide). I know this type of roof is safe as long as you don't go fiddling with it too much but will I be able to patch up the holes? If so, how?

Well, you've certainly got a few options there.

In olden days they used to repair pans that had worn out by putting a bolt through the hole with a washer either side............so there's another option! Better if a piece of rubber was used as a large washer. An old car mat cut up would do!

Thanks guys for the input. The research I've done has thrown up the name Flexacryl a few times so it looks like that's the best option. Just need to clear out the 30 year old tins of paint and whatnot the old fella who owned the house had previously.

I'd use fibreglass or 2 part epoxy filler to prevent causing dust
