  • Price of layers pellets

I'm sure that this has been asked before, but what price are layers pellets out there. Any ideas on the best and worst brands and prices. I'm in Yorkshire and like most Yorkshiremen I am said to be an economist, I think that means I am a bit tight fisted.

Hi i think a 25kg sack of Garvo layers pellets is about a tenner
It's not the size of the dog in the fight

I've paid £6 for Farmgate which the girls love and £12.45 for ex-batts pellets which frankly weren't worth the extra money. Things are usually more in the south so you might be able to get a better deal.

mine get an £8 bag of layers pellets from gm growers which I mix with corn to bulk it out and add interest then they get war time mash(secret recipe!)- and free range over large area after grubs. they have pretty much layed one delicious egg every day since we bought them.

After doing a lot of research on overpriced organic layers pellets I personally don't reckon they are all they are cracked up to be!

£6 for 20 kg Farmgate, although prefer Marriages which I can get for £6.75 for 20 kg. Just switched to Farmgate as it's marginally cheaper, and still GM free.

£5.50 here for Farmgate. Isn't it strange how the prices fluctuate all over the country for the same product!

Do an internet search! There was a Yorkshire firm had a stand at Selby game fair They were doing layers mix (corn & pellets) for £5.79. We had just bought a bag that week so didn't get one but it looked nice. They are actual producers & only do collect or large delivery's. They have a website but can't remember their name. We pay £5.99 for 20k of Heygarth's.
