Mr D and Scarlet!

Just some news if anyone wondered, on my two feathered friends since our Indie died. We still havn't got any more hens due to having had pelting rain for a week, but it's dry now so I'll be sorting out a bigger house this weekend and then will get five more, decided best to get them all in one go. Mr D is being amazingly ok with Scarlet, no over-use that I've noticed! Scarlet would not go in the nest boxes for a week after Indie died in one, she laid eggs everywhere, the last two days she's back to the nestbox, and laying a little egg everday. Anyway more news when there's something interesting! BFN!

gosh! whatever the chicken man brings to market i guess! he has either brown ones (like scarlet and indie) white or black but i don't know the race??? he said they all come out of a big barn, ours were scared of the wind when we first got them, they'd never seen outside!they are big and blousy birds now,look like they're wearing big fluffy skirts! like kid's drawings of hens. The day we got ours he only had brown, so we got brown, apart from Mr D who was a bit blondish, but they were only 4 wks old so i thought they were all girls, I'll have to go and take a photo later as Mr D is surely a breed, he's blond and golden and ginger with deep green tail feathers and he's a right bruiser, any ideas on race??
