I had a lame hen after a fox attack. After 5 days saw the vet as it didn't seem to be improving. Was told to wait and she did recover. It was a soft tissue injury caused in the panic and chaos of the attack. Give her time, I am sure she will gradually improve (unless it was a stroke.)

Aspirin can be given to animals but the dosage is ultra important. For example it is recommended as part of a first aid kit for dogs if you had no other access to painkillers. Vomiting is a side effect and stomach ulcers can occur with long term use (which, if it was only used in emergency would probably not occur).
I've compiled kits for gundogs and found this listed in the vet Randy Acker's guide.

keep going keep her warm, quiet and well fed.
I give my poorly hens wax worms or mealworms - good protein and some nice fat! boiled rice/pasta lovely for carbs. Obv I still give the layers but hey ho if they are not so keen whilst ill, then usually these sorts of foods act as a kickstart.
