We have a 6 acre smallholding. Chickens are split into large enclosures according to function eg layers, growers, fattening cocks etc. Also a number of free rangers who roam around. We only moved here last winter and it was terribly neglected so this year has been taken up with "taming the wilderness" - 4' high grass, broken fences, tree felling, hedge cutting, building repair .............. and it's still going on!

My garden is the chooks free ranging estate. Good job they've only got short stumpy legs.

Urban back garden but would love a paddock. Just think how many chooks I could have then.

I have two allotments. Approximately one quarter of one allotment is devoted to chooks. The remainder is devoted to fruit and veg, much of which finishes up with the chooks!
