          Course yours is better Snadger.

It's bigger, it's recycled, it's got a teensy carbon footprint and is altogether more environmentally friendly

Looks a bit flimsy to me. Doubt it would hold up to the strong winds we've been having. And the roof looks suspiciously like it has roofing felt on it!

Looks cute, but I'm pretty sure it's made by the same people as mine - it won't last, whereas Snadger's coop looks far more robust!

I blast of wind on my allotment and I reckon that one on ebay would look quite like a hot air balloon

Why is roofing felt a bad idea/ Does it harbour pests?

We didnt use roofing felt as my first season showed that red mite would be an issue so after hearing that red mite can live in them, we didnt want any excuse for them to hide

                          Yup, red mite love it.

Snadge, yours is the original and best!

Yes, the nasty little critters breed underneath it and then swarm out and gorge on our lovelies during the night.

Another reason for me to get rid of roofing felt is that water has been puddling on it and when I brush it off (with a brush) I usually manage to scrape the skin off my knuckles too

Anyway, it's only a hexagon, and Snadger's is an octagon, far better. Also I bet Snadger's is still standing this time next year, but I wouldn't put money on the ebay one. Trouble is it looks cute and is ridiculously cheap so I bet loads of people who desperately want chickens will end up with one of these for Christmas and will be horribly disappointed when it isn't up to the job.
Into each life some rain must fall........but this is getting ridiculous.
