  • Dried Mealworms...

Should they be soaked overnight before giving them to the chooks?

How many should they be allowed?

I think they're high fat/calories so don't want to overdo it, (especially as I'm stuffing them with corn at bed time) but thought a weekly treat wouldn't go amiss

Just chuck them to the chickies, they'll stand on each other's heads to get to them first. I give just a tablespoon or so between 4 of them.

They are high protein so actually fine to feed ad lib, but of course they are so expensive you would not wish to do this!!!! You don't need to soak them for adult birds, only chicks and wild birds.

Thank you all. I love seeing their reactions to new food.
