Would anyone like, free of charge to a kind home, a lovely, gentle, friendly Indian Game cockerel. He is too beautiful and good to go in the freezer. I will give a dear little I.G. pullet to go with him. They are both hand tame and have been organically fed and handled daily from hatching. I would rather know where they are than take them to market and fret about them!!

it's a no can do for me - sorry. With a little boy and an elderly dog amongst the rabble here I'm quite limited in what I can do. Hope you find a good home. I'll ask a friend but I think its a bit too far for her too.
If anyone is interested in table birds an IG combination is really worthwhile having. You cross IG with Light Sussex and Ixworth and get very meaty birds.

It's tough when they are so lovely, isn't it? I have several surplus Welsummer and Cream Legbar cocks, not to mention what seems like millions of bantam cocks, and they will all go in the pot. The Welsummers actually make a good size for roasting; the others will mainly be casseroles. They always look so beautiful though, and like yours, some are quite tame. Still, the deed must be done, and they taste good!
