Getting close to D-Day now...

Have just realised that for 8 of our various birds, it is getting very close to D-Day when we will be dispatching them for dinner!

We have the 3 turkeys and 5 cockerels for dispatch....

Mind you, I won't miss all the extra work that goes along with having 22 birds!!

I am by nature a realist. I don't give a thought about eating slaughtered animals for the table but when it comes to home reared is there some pain attached to it.

Are these for Xmas- or just for the freezer?
When is D-day?- it'll be a relief when it's over- and the place will suddenly seem much quieter.
