Could you message me with the name of the seller? My boyfriend and I are just starting to look at getting some chickens ourselves, and we've been looking at coops on ebay, and I want to make sure I don't accidentally buy from him!

We should have a thread to name and shame all sellers that are using underhand methods for selling and for sellers dishing out rubbish products!

No, we shouldn't. The magazine have no desire for legal action.

I'm afraid it the old story of getting what you paid for - if you can buy something made in china, shipped to the UK and then still sold at a fraction of an equivalent UK built model then you need to ask where the price difference is. And ebay and paypal take 10-12% out of the sale price.

I've seen copies of my houses built in China, sold on eBay for less than i pay for the materials.

Yes they do - and for those who wish to check these things that would be the place to go as PP provide a service in this regard.

                      hen houses on ebay

                      hi,

sorry to hear about your bad experience i also am not impressed with house with run we got from seller on ebay over a year ago, it hasnt weathered well at all and i have to buy a new one in new year. it wasnt complete with parts so we had to customise as well. its housed my girls ok, but soon as the weather hit hard, its not weatherproofed sufficiently. would buy an eglu cube if i could afford!!!!

must admit dont think i would be tempted to buy a big item like hen house from ebay again.

good luck with house you do get.

Angelat from personal experience, and the experience of lots of others on here, your best bet is to buy a small shed and adapt it. It's cheaper, stands up to the weather better, and you can walk inside to clean it out
