we lost one of our bluebelles last night, they were okay when we fed them their rice late in the afternoon,we had to go out for a few hours and when we got back,we closed the coop door for the night(dark by then)...when i went to clean them out at midday,i could only see five of the six,and after a good search,i found the bird under the coop, stone cold, she was the timid one and easily put off feeding, we dont know if she was sick or got locked out of the coop,as they always went into the coop at the same time.has anyone any ideas why she would stay out of the coop,as she was never far from her big sister?

I'm so sorry for your loss. Hideous when our pets die, especially when they haven't indicated that they are unwell beforehand. If a thing's worth doing, it's worth doing to excess
