As Corax said Call Ducks are small, tame, Mallard derived ducks, originally bred as living 'decoys' for shooters. White ones were popular for the purpose since they are more readily recognised among the wild ones (they are usually a little smaller than wild ones, but not a lot). They are the duck equivalent of bantams in chooks.
As with most domestic creatures, people started showing (and, of course, breeding for show) and got loads of different colours.
Of course Eider ducks are not Mallards! I think Muscovies are the only other species of duck to be commonly domesticated except for purely ornamental purposes (eg Mandarin), although it seems possible that some other species can breed hybrids.
Flowers come in too many colours to see the world in black-and-white.
latest news, we have had to split Donald and Daffy up as donald has attacked Daffy, torn loads of his feathers out by the root. They have filed for divorce, donald decided he had just been 'dabbling' and prefers girls after all! Daffy is now living up at the stables(where our ponies live) with the 30 or so ducks there and is slowly building up his confidence again! He prefers the chickens though.
