You have kids- what ages are they?
If young, maybe a school friend's parents would like to come over and help with their little uns for free eggs and a bottle of something or other?
It might be worth asking whilst hanging round the playground waiting to collect your kids.
If older- are any school friends sensible enough to help out?
Do you have a local small petshop who might be happy to nip over before and after work for a bit of cash. Would any vets receptionists be prepared to do the same thing?
