I was only thinking that this evening when I'd tucked up my babies
They are behind a wooden door in a granite pigsty, behind an electric fence, but there were 5 foxes in the field last spring

I wasn't sure if I could hear them calling tonight- or whether it was an owl ( the mice in the roof space were making too much noise eating MY walnuts I'd originally stored in the wine cellar)
I bet 5 hungry foxes could work out how to get at my chooks.

Interstingly there were footprints in the snow in another part of the garden this morning but no where near the chooks and last weekend two piles of scat on consecutive mornings - and a pile of vomit with 3 dead, half chewed mice
so..they're certainly around!
....watch out folks...good point jayjay giant!

There were fox tracks all up and down the street the other morning when it snowed overnight - in and out of people's tiny front gardens and all around the cars parked in the road!

Thanks for giving me my first belly laugh of the day, that was sooooo funny.

We had a cat (brill ratter) - whizz - who used to 'ambush' humans by hiding in a bush and then leaping out onto an unsuspecting chest, she was an evil cat - have the scars to prove it.
