for the first time since i had the chooks, i found fox tracks, not seen it around for absolutely ages, and it has been very muddy round the run so there would have been tracks, maybe a new fox to the area
.... it was trying to get at psycho ... now the run is completely fox proof, but ... with the extra weight of the snow on the roof, the run had begun to bulge ... right at the door, luckily only at the top, so was too high for it to get in ... but it could definitely have managed it with a bit more snow, or if it had looked harder ... as it would have bulged further, the weight had popped the clip holding the gate shut.....
please make sure if you have a roof on your run that the same can't happen .... foxes are going to be very very hungry ... no bin collections, mean less food availability, and things they would normally scavenge will be covered by snow.
much as i hate the damned rabbit, i wouldn't wish that on her lol
