    I don't know about sherry and beaten egg but an egg whisked into milk and orange juice is pretty tasty.

      I was given sherry and beaten egg when I'd been ill. My Ma said it would build me up. It was so gorgeous I could have malingered for weeks!

        One of the traditional kinds of paint included egg white, and it was (perhaps still is) used when applying gold leaf.
        I think it's the yolks that can go stinky.
        Flowers come in too many colours to see the world in black-and-white.

          I think Ollie means fertiliser TS. I would imagine the egg shells would give off a small amount of magnesium so the water could be alkaline and judging by the state of some of my eggs that have been covered in carp, you would probably get a hefty doze of NPK in the water also!
