    Ohmigod.
Went off to the buildings to see to everything as usual this morning. When I got back I nipped upstairs to check the humidity in the inci, as you do.

    And Ive got peeps

Woohoo, *handstands and cartwheels* Well not really cos I cant do either, but two peeps sat there peeping. One Araucana (boy according to the crystal ) and one mini silkie, couldnt see what was marked on its egg..but its half the size of the Arau chick

Wasnt expecting anything till tomorrow, havent even set up the dog cage brooder or bought chick crumb...bad mother, think I was trying not to tempt fate with all the hassles the inci has had.

Hmm mixed news now. The original two are both well, and have been joined by two Silver Sussex and a hybrid. The silkie and the hybrid MIGHT be girls (dowsing) and the SS are girl and who knows cos the bit of shell with the letter on was where it pipped.
But sadly another SS hatched vigorously and seemed fine in the inci, but when I lifted it out to transfer to the brooder I realised the poor little mite had been born without any eyes, just little hollow sockets. So sadly it was culled. One eyed and it would have been kept as a pet/layer, but dont think it would be right to keep it totally eyeless.
