Ex Batts

Got some ex batts today got to say they are not the worse I have ever seen but still not great. They are happy now and will have a great free range life. Also some upto date pictures of the barble du uccles

Awww. Nice photos. The ex batts will be in fine fettle soon Im sure, now there are somewhere they will get food, warmth and love.
Have you seen the thread on the jumpers for ex batts? (Hen cosies)

we got some the other week and they were a bad batch but most of them are pretty much fully feathered now.... they haven't started laying yet though

Had one egg yesterday they went wild when I first put them in they kept flying into the wall much better now though

Where do you get them from? When we have chickens later on, we'd like to rescue some ex battery chickens.

check out Battery Hen Welfare Trust

they have a list of local rescue co-ordinators, not sure how far you are from the M5, but there are quite a lot of ones around bristol.

Best to contact them and see if they have someone local to you
