Has anyone ever seen an egg being laid?

Whilst building the new run today, the girls were in full view in the greenhouse. Saw Clarissa bedding down in the straw, then a while later saw that she had laid an egg. Good girl!
Then later, Kaye was fertling down into the straw, I had the door open (cant remember why) and there, I saw her lay an egg! What a fabulous thing to see. It's something I'll never forget.
Has anyone else ever seen their girls lay an egg?

Mr DDL was watching embarrassing bodies on TV last night. Yuk! Even Mr DDL had to admit defeat and switched it off!

Yup - last year. One of my Amber Links was in a nest box when I went to collect eggs. She had her back toward me, and turned to look at me over her shoulder, with a sort of glazed expression, then just popped it out. Rather like having a p**. I was so impressed I grabbed it and ran to tell Mr. G. who just looked at me like I was daft!

I did last year, it was my White Star LuLu, as I opened the pop hole she must have been in the way whilst laying and was pushed out in the rush. She came hurtling out and stood there for a few seconds like a penguin and out it popped!

No and I'm really envious of all of you who have. They're so clever those girls, like giving birth nearly every day!!!

Yes - I've had them laid in my hand before now - all hot and wet! My daughter has also had one lay into her hand. Collecting eggs, surprised a laying hen and stuck her hand underneath. Out plopped the egg straight into her hand.

Can never understand that programme they are too embarresed to go to their own GP so they go on live tv whip whatever they have out and talk about it whilst being filmed. Am I missing something
