oops am going to look at four small cockerells with fluffy feet tomorrow, because they hate each other and three are for the chop...might take one, might not.....
If theyre small and fluffy footed they sound cute get two
No seriously, if youve got two theyre more likely to hassle each other than you, as long as they have more than just a couple of hens to run around with.

Lol.. Nicos
I've got about 8 cockerals running round, and although they sometimes square up the only two who have ever had a fight proper were the two hybrid brothers. And that didn't last long cos the big white anti noise squad came along and beat them both up till they stopped. no not me, the gander! no fight nonsense on HIS patch.

went to pick up cockerell this eve, but he's been so badly beaten up that they are going to keep him till sunday (apart from the others of course) he's absolutely covered in blood, poor little fella will report back on monday with piccies!!!
He'll probably look even worse as once the blood is dry it will turn black. Then they look a real mess. But the scabs drop off fairly quickly and they soon get back to normal.
he's not very big either, sort fluffy brown and green with fluffy short legs and seems to favour a large hat!! will he be ok with scarlet as she's a big old bird! will he er manage her ok?

Call him Rhett and I'm sure Scarlet won't give a fiddle-dee-dee about him!

He just might not be able to catch them! I've got my Minorcas running with a cock at the moment who is big enough to cover them (just) but they outrun him, their legs are so long. He's also got cream legbars in there who are much smaller so he usually gives up on the Minorcas after a few minutes and makes do with the legbars.
