isnt it amazing that what seem small birds lay such good sized eggs?,you pick them up and there seems to be no weight in them,but what eggs..:
One of my ex-batts lays a 90g almost every day. They are round instead of oval and don't fit in an egg cup. Last year we had a couple of over 100g but strangely enough never had a double yolk. The other batties only produce 60/70g. Rose the Wellie has only just started so hers are not very big yet.
This is a photo of the egg Bluebelle laid today (the larger one!) and the one she laid yesterday (normal sized). No wonder her eyes were watering!!!

The normal one weighed 54g, the BIG one 86g.
