Thank you all for all the advise. Am pleased to say although they are not best of mates yet it is definitely much calmer at the end of the garden.I left them together again when I went to work and came home to peace and quiet.Yeh! Now it seems more that the newbies still leg it when one of the originals come near but top boss Betty let Granny Weatherwax eat out of the same bowl.

found out last week,i am now known as "chicken george", does anybody remember "roots" in the 70s,shows my age..

Oh! I loved that programme - I used to sneak out of bed to watch it through the bannisters in secret after being put to bed. I must be a bit younger than you Buffs!
