Thanks for all the info and advice. Hoping to get some hens this weekend... Found a couple of places not too far away and hopefully a henhouse too

When you get your hen house make sure you get one that can accommodate at least 50% more than the most you think you will want to keep.

You will want to get more hens - they are very addictive. We went out to buy 6, came back with 8 and now have 30 with an incubator full of eggs.
